Central Distribution System’s commitment to sustainability goes beyond offering green products.

S SAN FRANCISCO, CA - June 3, 2010 - Central Distribution System (CDS Advantage) is extremely pleased to announce that it was awarded LEED-EB Gold designation for its headquarters which includes its office, warehouse and parking complex located in South San Francisco, California.  LEED-EB is the designation for existing buildings that meet the standards for sustainability and energy efficiency set forth by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).

“With LEED certification we’re still in the very early stages of what will be the future of buildings, and we’re committed to that future“, said Central Distribution System Customer Service Team Leader, Mardi Inaudi. “There are benefits from day one of going through the LEED application process, benchmarking energy efficiency and other building systems, and then striving for improvements. It’s consistent with best practices in building operations and management, and we expect to continue to support the effort of the U.S. Green Building Council.”

The U.S. Green Building Council is a nonprofit membership organization whose vision is a sustainable-build environment within a generation. Its membership includes corporations, builders, universities, government agencies and other nonprofit organizations.
